Reco raises $55M for AI agent security, bringing total funding to $140M
AI agent security startup Reco announced a $55 million round with backing from AT&T's venture arm, Forestay and Quadrille Capital, lifting total funding to $140 million as dozens of vendors crowd the emerging agentic security market.
Reco, a New York-based cybersecurity firm founded in 2020 that has repositioned from SaaS security to AI agent discovery and governance, raised $55 million, bringing total funding to $140 million. The two reports characterize the round differently: SecurityWeek describes it as a strategic round led by AT&T Ventures with new investors Forestay and Quadrille Capital, while TechCrunch calls it a Series B extension in which AT&T's venture arm, Forestay and Quadrille Capital participated. Per TechCrunch, Reco's valuation has more than doubled to the high hundreds of millions since February. The company's Reco Graph (which TechCrunch calls a context graph) maps AI agent identities, permissions, API connections, MCP tools and workflows to identify unnecessary exposure and revoke excessive access; Reco says it discovered 21,000 unknown agents at a Fortune 100 customer. Reco reports double-digit millions in ARR across more than 100 customers, 40% of them from financial services, and integrates with OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Workday. The new funds are earmarked for hiring across sales, partnerships, channels and customer support. TechCrunch notes dozens of vendors now compete in the AI agent security market.
