Cloudflare expands observability and opens features to all plans
Cloudflare unified logs, traces, and alerts with volume pricing and opened Logpush, dashboards, and broader RBAC beyond Enterprise.
On October 2, 2026, Cloudflare announced eight observability updates that combine logs, traces, analytics, alerts, dashboards, and Logpush on one platform, and reported progress on a pledge to offer Enterprise capabilities on lower plans with differences mainly in usage limits. The Logs view covers HTTP events, firewall events, Workers, Containers, R2, and AI Gateway, while Cloudflare Traces is in open beta with OpenTelemetry export, W3C trace-context propagation, and trace rules. A beta unified SQL API, the cf CLI, an Observability MCP server, and a Workers binding let people and agents query the same telemetry, and custom alerts are included. From December 1, 2026, paid and Enterprise plans include 50 GB of ingestion and 10 GB-month of storage per cycle, then $0.25 per GB ingested and $0.10 per GB-month stored. Logpush and Custom Dashboards are now available beyond Enterprise, including self-service pay-as-you-go Logpush for Free, Pro, and Business; the reports disagree on the companion feature name, calling it Logpush Transformers in one account and SQL Transformers in another. Role-based access control expanded, including resource-level roles for Workers, a New Account control lets users create additional accounts, and Organizations is in Enterprise beta, expected generally available in October, with a free-account rollout planned for early 2027.
