BleepingComputer is hosting a live webinar with Material Security on September 23, 2026, titled 'Breach autopsy: How fast-growing companies are breached through Google Workspace.' The speakers are Material Security's VP of Security Rajan Kapoor and Fireside Consulting president Rick Fitzgerald. The session will examine publicly documented Google Workspace breaches, including two attacks in which social engineering was combined with malicious OAuth applications to gain access to Workspace environments. Topics include scoping exposed users and data, confirming whether attacker access persists after initial response, and which early containment decisions limited or worsened breach impact. The speakers will also rank security controls by effort and impact for fast-growing companies with limited security resources. Note: the two source reports refer to the webinar by slightly different titles — 'What happens in the first hours of a Google Workspace breach' (September 16 report) versus 'Breach autopsy: How fast-growing companies are breached through Google Workspace' (September 18 report); the more detailed latter title appears to be the final one.
