WatchGuard discloses seven critical Fireware OS flaws enabling remote code execution
Supplied data names Fireware OS 2026.4 and 12.12.4 as fixes; this report does not establish exploitation.
Heap buffer overflow in Fireware OS AD authentication
A heap-based buffer overflow in the Fireware OS authentication service is triggered when a device is configured to use Active Directory. An attacker who controls or can intercept traffic to that directory server can return a crafted response without credentials or user interaction. That can crash the service and may allow arbitrary code execution on affected Fireware OS systems.
What to do: Apply WatchGuard's update for CVE-2026-112710; no fixed version or workaround is stated.
