Oracle emergency Java update distrusts weak eMudhra CAs (CVE-2026-91403)
The CVSS 9.1 JSSE flaw can let an on-path attacker forge trusted hostnames; no attacks are confirmed.
JSSE trust flaw in Oracle Java SE and GraalVM
A flaw in the JSSE component of Oracle Java SE, GraalVM for JDK, and GraalVM Enterprise Edition lets an unauthenticated attacker on the network, using multiple protocols and no user interaction, read, create, change, or delete critical data those runtimes can access. It can be triggered through JSSE APIs, including a web service that supplies data, and also through sandboxed Java Web Start apps or applets that load untrusted code. Listed Java SE, GraalVM for JDK, and GraalVM Enterprise builds are affected.
What to do: Apply Oracle's update for CVE-2026-91403. Oracle has not listed fixed build numbers in the affected-version notice.
