AMD is acquiring Fei-Fei Li's World Labs in an all-stock deal worth about $8.2 billion.

AMD announced an all-stock acquisition of World Labs, the AI lab co-founded by Fei-Fei Li, worth about $8.2 billion. World Labs launched in 2024, reached a $1 billion valuation within months, and in 2025 released Marble, a model that generates interactive 3D worlds from prompts. Li will become AMD executive vice president and chief scientist, reporting to CEO Lisa Su, while the team continues model research. The deal is expected to close by year-end; Nvidia earlier this month said it would acquire Hugging Face for nearly $13 billion.
