Chicago-Area Cops Helped HSI Spy on Minnesota Anti-ICE Activists
Chicago-area police joined HSI undercover surveillance of an anti-ICE talk later cited in a Minnesota conspiracy case.
WIRED reports that Chicago-area police joined a Homeland Security Investigations task force that surveilled an April 2 anti-ICE talk at Co-Prosperity in Bridgeport. The four-page "Antifa Roadshow" report, released by defense lawyers for 15 Minnesota activists, describes two undercover officers, live audio, license-plate readers, and Chicago CCTV used to identify attendees. Remarks by defendant Callum Robinet from the talk are cited in the federal conspiracy indictment tied to resistance against Operation Metro Surge. Chicago police say the work was a criminal racketeering matter, not immigration enforcement, and that no First Amendment notifications were filed.
