DoorDash launched a text-to-order AI agent in Apple Messages that can reorder a user’s usual meal, search local restaurants, build a cart, and send photos of recommended food. It can combine mixed dietary preferences and quantities in a single group order. DoorDash opened a U.S. waitlist and said the feature is meant to compete with Uber Eats and Grubhub. The company will also begin testing delivery drones with selected restaurants in Northern California.
