Criminal recruiters want people on your payroll
Intel 471 found criminals recruiting employees, especially in transport and telecom, to sell insider access.
Intel 471's Insiders for Hire report analyzed 85 underground records and found criminals recruiting employees to sell access and insider-enabled services. Recruitment was the largest category, with 45 records, alongside 15 capability claims and 12 advertised insider services. Transportation appeared in 19 leads, technology in 17, and telecommunications in 15; FedEx and UPS were each named in nine. Actors sought help with restricted lookups, account manipulation, SIM swaps, shipment interference, fraud, intrusion, and extortion.
