ICE Agent at NYC Shooting Has History of Alleged Violence and Illegal Arrests
WIRED says an ICE agent at a Manhattan shooting has a record of unlawful arrests and alleged force.
WIRED reports that ICE agents shot Oscar Belgal in upper Manhattan on Thursday after surrounding his car, where a 5-year-old child was sitting. Belgal was hospitalized with a reported neck wound; the child appeared unharmed. The outlet identifies ICE supervisor Brenden Cuni, of the National Fugitive Operations team, as the agent seen with a modified rifle and says court records show judges have ruled several of his arrests unlawful. DHS says agents were seeking an undocumented Dominican national with a prior grand-larceny conviction.
