From Enablement to Execution, Egypt’s AI Ecosystem Reaches Production Scale
NVIDIA highlighted Egypt’s AI builders as African data-center and AI-factory projects move toward production.
At an event in Cairo, NVIDIA described Egypt’s expanding AI ecosystem, including a more than tenfold rise in Deep Learning Institute learners in one year. Under a national telecom license, Hassan Allam and investor A15 plan an estimated $400 million data center. Across Africa, four AI factories have been announced or brought online within a year, with another 656 megawatts planned; Cassava’s buildout could reach $720 million, Stratos Lab is deploying more than 50 NVIDIA HGX B300 systems, and Nexus Core’s Morocco project starts at $1.2 billion with 500 megawatts planned. NVIDIA says it has trained more than 85,000 African developers toward a 100,000 goal.
