Microsoft thinks its new Copilot ‘super app’ will be as influential as Office

Microsoft unveiled a Copilot super app bundling chat, coding, and Autopilot agents with usage-based enterprise billing.

Microsoft unveiled a redesigned Copilot app that combines chat, coding, and agents in Home, Code, and Autopilot tabs. Scout, shown at Build, is rebranded Autopilot and runs as an enterprise cloud agent with its own identity, memory, and workspace inside a Microsoft 365 tenant. The Code tab, powered by the same technology as GitHub Copilot, lets users build sandboxed internal apps and automations. Cowork, Code, and Autopilot are usage-billed, including models such as Astra and Fable, while a standard license still covers chat and Office apps. Home and Code roll out via the Frontier program in coming weeks, and Autopilot enters private preview later this month.
