One year later: the power of 1.1.1.1 interns
Cloudflare says it hosted 750 of a planned 1,111 internships, with interns shipping production work.
A year after aiming to hire as many as 1,111 interns, Cloudflare says it has hosted 750 internships across 48 teams and nine offices and is still hiring. Intern work included Cache Transcoding, which compressed eligible cache assets to about one-third of their size in testing, plus maintenance of the EmDash CMS and the CryptoLabe cryptography-discovery tool. Another intern measured BGP ORIGIN rewriting on roughly 70 percent of observed paths and tracked adoption of RFC 9234.
