Apple's feature adds text descriptions, natural-language video search, and grouped notifications to HomeKit Secure Video, priced at $9.99 a month for one camera, $29.99 for two, and $59.99 for up to five, with no tier above five cameras. Ring and Nest offer similar descriptions, search, and facial recognition for about $20 a month on unlimited cameras, with Nest using Gemini. The reviewer found the descriptions more useful than generic motion alerts but questioned Apple's higher price.
