Huntress finds RMM abuse, mailbox-rule BEC, and AiTM token theft most often disrupt SMBs.

Huntress's Tragic Quadrant ranks 2026 threats by prevalence and how close they sit to business disruption, using telemetry from more than 5 million endpoints, 15 million identities, and nearly 300,000 organizations. In the highest-risk corner, RMM abuse appeared in 45% of Q1 2026 endpoint incidents, mailbox-rule manipulation accounted for 24.6% of 2026 identity signals and fed BEC, and adversary-in-the-middle session theft was 18.9% of 2025 identity threats. Device-code phishing, including the EvilTokens kit, hit 344 organizations across five countries in 16 days by abusing Microsoft's login flow and legitimate redirect infrastructure.
