Top 10 Best Browser Isolation Solutions in 2026

A 2026 market overview ranks ten remote browser isolation tools, with Menlo Security as the pure-play reference as SSE vendors bundle isolation.

The article compares ten remote browser isolation (RBI) options, including Menlo Security, Zscaler, Cloudflare, Palo Alto Networks, Broadcom (Symantec), Forcepoint, Skyhigh Security, Ericom (Cradlepoint), Authentic8, and Garrison. It argues that RBI has become a bundled policy action inside SSE platforms from Zscaler, Cloudflare, Palo Alto, Broadcom, Forcepoint, and Skyhigh, compressing standalone pricing and driving consolidation such as Ericom's isolation moving under Cradlepoint (Ericsson). Enterprise browsers like Island and Chrome Enterprise Premium are reshaping the RBI-versus-browser decision for managed users, while selective policy-driven isolation of risky categories is described as the prevailing 2026 architecture. The piece is a buyer's guide with vendor positioning, not an incident or vulnerability report.

Hackers Exploit FortiGate SSL-VPN Flaw to Breach Thai ISP and Deploy MeshCentral Backdoor

Threat actors exploited FortiOS SSL-VPN flaw CVE-2024-21762 to breach Thai ISP Triple T Broadband, gaining root-level persistence via MeshCentral agents.

Attackers exploited CVE-2024-21762, an out-of-bounds write enabling unauthenticated RCE in FortiOS SSL-VPN, against Triple T Broadband's FortiGate 60F at mail.3bb.co.th, launching a Node.js reverse shell via a ROP payload. Hunt.io uncovered the operation through an exposed staging directory at 92.63.180[.]133:8888 containing 298 files of exploits, credential-harvesting scripts, session cookies, and a device inventory. Post-compromise, the actors deployed MeshCentral agents (device group TH-3BB, C2 www.ayuthayatech.com) running as root, plus a hidden SUID backdoor at /usr/local/bin/.rc, and also targeted an internal Pentaho/Tomcat server with Ghostcat (CVE-2020-1938). A cleanup script removed logs, shell histories, and web shells while deliberately preserving the MeshCentral agent and SUID backdoor.

Exaforce extends its AI security tool to monitor more than just Claude

Exaforce AI Security extends beyond Claude to monitor OpenAI, Gemini, and Copilot agents using existing SOC telemetry, no new endpoint agents.

The tool inventories AI agents by correlating EDR, cloud, SaaS, and model-provider logs without new gateways or endpoint agents, and can respond by revoking sessions, deactivating API keys, isolating devices, or killing agent processes via existing controls. Analysts note the agentless approach lowers friction but lacks runtime inspection and inline blocking offered by competitors such as Palo Alto Prisma AIRS, SentinelOne Prompt AI Agent Security, and CrowdStrike Falcon Guardian. A March 2026 Cloud Security Alliance survey found 68% of organizations cannot distinguish human from AI-agent activity and 74% report AI agents receive excessive access.

The UK NCSC, FBI, and Dutch AIVD jointly attributed the CHOSEN BRICK Windows malware family to Iranian intelligence services, used since at least 2025 against dissidents, journalists, and activists worldwide, including in the UK, US, and Netherlands. Operators build rapport over WhatsApp or Telegram, impersonating known contacts or platform support, then deliver lures disguised as installers for Pictory, RunwayML, Norton Antivirus, Telegram, Adobe Flash Player, or KeePass, or fake MRI results. The malware persists via registry Run keys, adds Microsoft Defender exclusions, and uses per-victim Telegram bot IDs for C2, with newer versions adding HTTPS or SOCKS5 proxies. Some victims' data appeared on pro-Iranian leak sites, raising harassment and physical-safety risks.

Gartner predicts 80% of organizations will run smaller, AI-augmented engineering teams by 2030. Security leaders from Contrast Security, Menlo Security and the Cloud Security Alliance expect agent-run SOCs, machine-speed containment and abundant vulnerability discovery, but caution that absorption capacity and autonomous production-environment validation remain bottlenecks.
