Exposed Vietnam-linked APIS database held 220.8 million passenger and crew records with passport and flight data from January 2017 to April 2026.

Kinryū Labs discovered an exposed Elasticsearch cluster named 'pax-info' containing 220.8 million passenger and crew records, about 107 GB across 29 indices, hosted on IP space assigned to Viettel in Hanoi. The records include names, birth dates, nationalities, passport numbers, and detailed flight information from airlines across Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Researchers reported the exposure on June 3 and the database was secured by June 8 with Singapore Airlines coordinating; no evidence of theft was found, but missing server logs mean access cannot be ruled out.

The actors use Censys and ZoomEye scanning to find internet-exposed, outdated PLCs and a custom Python script using snap7 libraries over the S7comm protocol for initial access, credential access and denial of service; no attribution was given. Targeted sectors include Critical Manufacturing, Energy, Water and Wastewater, Chemical, Food and Agriculture, and Commercial Facilities, with potential for process disruption and cascading impacts. A related Dream report details a near-autonomous AI-agent campaign (July 1-4, 2026, 12 waves) against Taiwan government entities, using Hermes and OpenClaw agents with eight parallel sub-agents to crack 85 accounts via password spraying and exfiltrate over 2,564 personnel records, SSO client secrets and database credentials.

Guided by the taxonomy, query-level refinements removed 81.8% of reviewed false positives and 15.8% of reported paths across the selected queries while retaining 7 of 8 true positives. To address generalization, agentic coding tools given the refinement patterns as templates adapted them to new projects successfully in 56% and 62% of tasks, versus 28% without guidance.

Kinryū Labs discovered an exposed Elasticsearch cluster named 'pax-info' holding 210,318,069 passenger records and 10,465,631 crew records (roughly 107 GB across 29 indices) hosted in Viettel-assigned IP space in Hanoi. The database, apparently operated by a Vietnamese organization, was reachable via a chain of two misconfigurations: a cloud-based path that bypassed an HTTP 401 block and acceptance of default credentials. Exposed data included names, dates of birth, nationalities, passport numbers, and detailed flight information for travelers of many nationalities from January 2017 to April 2026. Access was remediated on June 8 after Kinryū Labs notified Vietnamese authorities, airlines, and CERTs, with Singapore Airlines' security team helping coordinate the response; it remains unknown whether any data was copied by malicious actors.

Does Your Agent's Memory Survive a Model Upgrade? A Controlled Study of Memory Portability

A controlled study finds agent memory portability varies sharply: fixed-schema knowledge graphs survive model swaps while compressed notes degrade.

The study compares preserving an agent's history as raw long context, RAG chunks, compressed natural-language notes, or fixed-schema knowledge graphs across model upgrades, using 48 synthetic histories and two open-weight sub-10B-parameter models. Fixed-schema KG accuracy changed by only +0.0004 ± 0.0020 after a writer swap, while compressed NOTES shifted asymmetrically by +9.91 or -13.28 percentage points depending on migration direction. Mixed 50/50 embedding migrations captured only 4.96 of an 11.90-point RAG re-embedding gain; 80% of the NOTES deficit came from information lost at construction, and 81% of the RAG deficit from retrieval failures. Store-only repair of NOTES failed to reach 90% recovery in all 48 cases, while retaining raw histories enabled recovery in 34 of 48 for one direction.

An Empirical Security Analysis of Open-Source Software Used in Onboard Satellite Systems

Researchers performed an empirical security analysis of 126 public repositories of open-source software used in onboard satellite systems using SBOM generation, software composition analysis, static application security testing, infrastructure-as-code analysis, and secret scanning. After cleaning and deduplication the pipeline produced 2,827 findings, with medium-severity findings accounting for 49% and 72% classified medium or higher. A CWE-based taxonomy mapped all findings to eight weakness families, with Memory Safety and Code Quality dominating, followed by Input Validation and Injection. Project-developed code accounted for 81.4% of findings, though external dependency code remained relevant; findings do not establish mission-specific exploitability.
