CISA Adds Two Known Exploited Vulnerabilities to Catalog
CISA added two actively exploited MikroTik RouterOS vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-67277 and CVE-2026-86060, to its KEV catalog, mandating federal remediation.
CISA added CVE-2026-67277 (missing authentication for a critical function) and CVE-2026-86060 (improper neutralization of argument delimiters in a command), both in MikroTik RouterOS, to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog based on evidence of active exploitation. Under BOD 26-04, Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies must prioritize rapid remediation of these flaws on publicly exposed assets that grant total control post-exploitation. Agencies are also required to check whether systems were compromised before patches were applied.
PaperCut Zero-Day Under Active Attack: Emergency Patch Released
PaperCut warns that a zero-day in NG and MF print management products is being actively exploited, shipping emergency patches with no CVE assigned yet.
PaperCut Software confirmed active exploitation of a zero-day affecting PaperCut NG and MF, with confirmed customer incidents, and released emergency patches on Friday ahead of technical details or a CVE assignment. The company urges customers to restrict web access to trusted IP addresses, disconnect application servers from the internet, and watch for indicators including tampered or truncated server.log files, database error strings, and suspicious activity involving pc-app.exe. The article recalls the May 2023 exploitation of CVE-2023-27350 and CVE-2023-27351 by the financially motivated Lace Tempest group, a Clop ransomware RaaS affiliate, though no attacker attribution has been given for the current campaign.
CVE-2026-81578 + CVE-2026-82078 | PaperCut NG/MF Authentication Bypass and Unsafe Dynamic Class Loading Vulnerabilities
Two chained PaperCut NG/MF flaws, CVE-2026-81578 and CVE-2026-82078, enable pre-auth RCE, with active exploitation confirmed in customer environments.
PaperCut NG/MF is affected by CVE-2026-81578, an improper access control flaw (CVSS 4.0 8.8) allowing unauthenticated configuration changes, and CVE-2026-82078, an unsafe dynamic class loading flaw (CVSS 4.0 9.4) enabling arbitrary Java bytecode execution. Chained, they yield pre-authentication remote code execution on the PaperCut Application Server. PaperCut confirmed active exploitation and customer incidents, and Huntress observed exploitation starting August 26, 2026. Emergency Patch Release 2 is available for NG/MF v24-v26, with IOCs including suspicious pc-app.exe child processes, truncated server.log files, and AnyDesk installs.
CVE-2026-34908, CVE-2026-34909, CVE-2026-34910: Ubiquiti UniFi OS ...
Ubiquiti UniFi OS flaws CVE-2026-34908, CVE-2026-34909, and CVE-2026-34910 were added to CISA's KEV, chaining auth bypass into command injection.
Ubiquiti UniFi OS vulnerabilities CVE-2026-34908, CVE-2026-34909, and CVE-2026-34910 were added to CISA's KEV catalog. CVE-2026-34908 (CVSS 10.0, CWE-284) is an unauthenticated improper access control flaw allowing unauthorized system changes, described as the initial entry point. It enables attackers to then leverage chained path traversal and command injection flaws for deeper compromise.
Apache Superset SQL Injection Flaw Gets Public PoC Exploit
A public Python proof-of-concept exploit was released for CVE-2026-23980, an authenticated error-based SQL injection flaw in Apache Superset before 6.0.0.
A public proof-of-concept exploit repository now targets CVE-2026-23980, an error-based SQL injection affecting Apache Superset versions from 0.0.0 up to but not including 6.0.0. An authenticated user with read access can inject SQL through the sqlExpression or where parameters, potentially reaching business, customer, and security data depending on database configuration and privileges. Apache disclosed the flaw in February and urges upgrading to Superset 6.0.0; compensating controls include least-privilege database accounts, network restrictions, and log monitoring.
MikroTik patches flaws currently being exploited to take over routers
MikroTik patches six RouterOS flaws, including the actively exploited MikroTrick SSH chain (CVE-2026-67276, CVE-2026-86060) enabling unauthenticated full router takeover.
MikroTik released patches in RouterOS 7.25 beta 3, 7.24.2, 7.23.4, and 6.49.21 for six vulnerabilities found by CERT Polska, affecting the SSH server/client, bandwidth-test service, X.509 handling, and WebFig. CVE-2026-67276, an RSA public-key validation flaw in the SSH server, lets an attacker who knows a username and key modulus authenticate as that user; CVE-2026-86060 then escalates privileges to root via special-character username handling. CERT Polska confirmed attackers are exploiting the chain to take full control of RouterOS devices with SSH exposed to the internet. Shadowserver Foundation scans show over 122,500 devices with internet-reachable SSH, concentrated in Brazil, the US, and Indonesia.
CVE-2026-86218 | N-able N-central Pre-Authentication Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
N-able N-central pre-auth RCE CVE-2026-86218 (CVSS 10.0) is actively exploited; CISA added it to KEV and a hotfix is available.
CVE-2026-86218 is a critical pre-authentication remote code execution flaw (CWE-96 static code injection) in N-able N-central servers, scored 10.0 CVSS 4.0 by N-able and 9.8 CVSS 3.1 by NIST. N-able fixed it in N-central 2026.3 Hotfix 4 (build 2026.3.1.14) on September 5, 2026, and has already patched hosted NCOD environments. CISA added the CVE to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on September 8, 2026, citing evidence of active exploitation, though researchers have not attributed every reported N-central compromise to this flaw. Horizon3 released a NodeZero Rapid Response test to validate exposure and recommends log review for prior compromise.
2026-009: Critical Vulnerabilities in Microsoft SharePoint
WatchTowr observed active exploitation of SharePoint RCE CVE-2026-50522 (CVSS 9.8), part of an ongoing wave of exploited on-prem SharePoint flaws patched by Microsoft.
On 14 July 2026 Microsoft released updates for critical SharePoint Server RCE flaws, including CVE-2026-50522 (CVSS 9.8), a deserialisation vulnerability possibly exploitable without authentication. On 20 July 2026 WatchTowr published PoC exploit code and observed active exploitation of CVE-2026-50522, prompting CISA to urge SharePoint hardening. The advisory also covers recently fixed SharePoint flaws: CVE-2026-32201 (6.5, spoofing), CVE-2026-45659 (8.8, authenticated RCE), CVE-2026-56164 (9.8, unauthenticated privilege escalation), and CVE-2026-58644 (9.8, unauthenticated RCE). Affected products include SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, 2019, and Enterprise Server 2016; CERT-EU recommends immediate patching, credential rotation, and compromise assessments.
