Canada issues two Chrome desktop update advisories

Canada's Cyber Centre issued two October 2026 advisories urging Chrome desktop updates, without naming CVEs or reporting exploitation.

The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security published advisory AV26-1045 on October 15, 2026, covering vulnerabilities in Stable Channel Google Chrome for desktop. It said builds before 155.0.8059.79/.80 on Windows and Mac, and listed Linux versions before the then-current Stable Channel update, were affected as of October 13, 2026. A later notice, AV26-1060, dated October 16, 2026, used a higher cutoff: versions before 155.0.8059.84/.85 on Windows and Mac and before 155.0.8059.84 on Linux, described as affected as of October 15, 2026. The two advisories therefore differ on version thresholds and the dates used for affected builds. Neither bulletin names CVE identifiers or says exploitation has been observed, and both urge users and administrators to review Google's stable-channel update and install it.
