ShinyHunters hacker reportedly detained in Jordan, aiding FBI
Jordan reportedly detained ShinyHunters suspect Saif al-Din Khader, who is helping the FBI find other members.
Jordanian authorities reportedly detained Saif al-Din Khader, known online as Rey, a suspected ShinyHunters member, and sources told Reuters he is helping the FBI identify other members. The detention follows a September claim that ShinyHunters breached FBI systems via an alleged Oracle PeopleSoft zero-day and moved into AWS GovCloud, stealing 2–3TB—claims BleepingComputer has not verified and the FBI has not confirmed as theft. Dutch police previously arrested Pepijn van der Stap, alias Umbreon, in Amsterdam on September 15. The group's leak site went offline the day of the reported detention, but a new ShinyHunters site appeared Thursday.
