Citrix Flaw Comes Under Active Exploitation — A critical security flaw in Citrix NetScaler ADC and NetScaler Gateway (CVE-2026-3055, CVSS score: 9.3) has come under active exploitation as of March 27, 2026. The vulnerability refers to a case of insufficient input validation leading to memory overread, which an attacker could exploit to leak potentially sensitive information. Once inside, the threat actor maintains long-term access by deploying tools like BPFdoor. Some BPFdoor samples mimic bare-metal infrastructure, posing as legitimate enterprise platforms to blend into operational noise. Others spoof core containerization components. By embedding the implant deep below traditional visibility layers, the goal is to significantly complicate detection efforts. Rapid7 has released a scanning script designed to detect known BPFDoor variants across Linux environments.
