Researchers distill a compact 82M-parameter Thai TTS from synthetic OmniVoice data, enabling on-device fixed-voice synthesis without reference audio.

The paper uses a large voice-cloning model (OmniVoice) as a synthetic data source to train Wayu-Paxa-TTS-Edge, an 82M-parameter fixed-voice Thai TTS student. The model achieves 68.2% Challenge-Set Keyword Accuracy (85.5% of Gemini 3.1), 91.4% pause precision, and CERs of 3.7% on Thai and 1.1% on English. It outperforms its teacher on pause placement and is open-sourced with its evaluation framework.

Evidence-Grounded Retrieval for Investigation Hunt Lead Generation from CTI Reports

AHLERT generates environment-aware threat hunting leads from CTI reports using ATT&CK-seeded knowledge graph retrieval, roughly doubling F1 over flat-RAG baselines.

The paper introduces AHLERT, a system that converts Cyber Threat Intelligence reports into structured, investigable hunt leads via hybrid dense retrieval with multi-hop traversal over an MITRE ATT&CK-seeded knowledge graph and ontology-grounded RAG constrained to the defender's assets. It is LLM-agnostic and evaluated on public CTI reports for well-known APTs across proprietary and open-weight models. Hybrid evidence retrieval with ontology grounding raises mean F1 from 0.44 to 0.85, and AHLERT attains the highest effectiveness score (~86.95%) versus off-the-shelf LLMs.

CREST Onboards First Cohort for AI-Enabled Pentesting Accreditation

CREST accredited 10 companies, including ImmuniWeb and Thoropass, in the first cohort of its new AI-Enabled Penetration Testing accreditation.

CREST granted its AI-Enabled Penetration Testing accreditation, an optional module added in July 2026 to its Penetration Testing Accreditation Standard, to a first cohort of 10 firms spanning Europe, India, the US, and Canada, including Closed Door Security, ImmuniWeb, JUMPSEC, Packetlabs, Pentesys, REDSECLABS, Risk Associates, SECNORA, Solusec, and Thoropass. The module lets providers that integrate AI into pentesting demonstrate responsible AI governance through independent assessment. A March 2026 CREST report found 76% of cybersecurity providers increased AI usage year over year and 69% already integrate it into daily service delivery; its June AI Charter has been signed by over 100 organizations.
