October 2026 Apache HTTP Server and Traffic Server notices
Unexploited Apache HTTP Server flaws through 2.4.68 were posted in October 2026, with sources split on 2.4.68 or 2.4.69, plus a Traffic Server SNI fix.
On 1 October 2026, oss-security posts described eight Apache HTTP Server vulnerabilities affecting releases through 2.4.68, with no reported exploitation: five moderate and three low. The moderate issues are CVE-2026-42528 in mod_dav, CVE-2026-57941 in mod_http2 with no version range stated, Windows-only CVE-2026-59685 in ap_directory_walk() for 2.4.0 through 2.4.68, CVE-2026-63292 in mod_vhost_alias for the same range when a Host header exceeds 8192 bytes, and CVE-2026-93546 in mod_dav_fs through 2.4.68. The low issues are CVE-2026-42356 in 2.4.60 through 2.4.68, CVE-2026-63718 in 2.4.30 through 2.4.68, and CVE-2026-73636 in 2.4.0 through 2.4.68. Sources disagree on the fix: the CVE-2026-42528 notice both lists affected releases through 2.4.68 and describes the bug in 2.4.67 and earlier, and advises upgrading to 2.4.69, while a 2 October GBHackers article urges 2.4.68 and discusses a different set—CVE-2024-38474, CVE-2024-38475, and CVE-2024-38476 fixed in 2.4.60, plus CVE-2026-49975 fixed in 2.4.68, CVE-2026-44186, and CVE-2026-42535—also with no reported exploitation. Separately, moderate CVE-2026-102795 in Apache Traffic Server 9.0.0 through 9.2.14 and 10.0.0 through 10.1.3 fails to enforce SNI-to-Host matching, supersedes CVE-2026-41920, and is fixed in 9.2.15 and 10.1.4, with no exploitation reported.
