Google Labs launched Playground, an experimental platform that lets people build browser-based 2D or 3D games from text prompts without coding. Creators can choose a genre or start from scratch, upload visuals for the AI to convert into assets, and keep projects private, share them by link, or publish them to an Explore gallery with leaderboards. Browsing and play are free, while generation uses a weekly token allowance that is higher for Google One AI subscribers. It is initially limited to users 18 and older in the United States, and Google plans a future Unity Spark integration for richer 3D and game mechanics.
