Cyber Incident at BAE Systems Disrupts US Federal Bankruptcy Noticing
A cyber incident at BAE Systems halted US federal bankruptcy notice systems nationwide.
The Administrative Office of the US Courts said on October 15 that a cybersecurity incident at contractor BAE Systems took down IT systems and websites supporting the Bankruptcy Noticing Center. BAE operates that infrastructure for the federal judiciary, and notice production and distribution for bankruptcy courts nationwide has stopped. Unavailable sites include bnc.uscourts.gov, bankruptcynotices.uscourts.gov, and notices.uscourts.gov, plus the National Creditor Registration Service. The notice does not describe the incident type, start date, data access, or a restoration timeline.
