Google GTIG reports threat actors using agentic AI to automate reconnaissance, exploit selection, and credential harvesting, compromising thousands of secrets.
Google Threat Intelligence Group's Q3 2026 AI Threat Tracker documents threat actors operationalizing agentic AI: in one Mandiant investigation, a financially motivated actor built and executed a credential-harvesting operation in under six hours, with an exposed 'Recon' framework managing more than 23,800 harvested secrets including cloud and AI-service API keys. A Chinese-speaking actor tracked as knaithe used a DeepSeek-powered Hermes Agent for automated reconnaissance and vulnerability enumeration, pivoting from Langflow to n8n and enabling manual exploitation of exposed Citrix NetScaler, Marimo, Apache Tomcat, and VPN infrastructure. Operators harvested Citrix session cookies from process memory to bypass MFA, obtained AWS credentials from compromised Marimo instances, and deployed the Go-based NKAbuse backdoor, with reported RCE and data exfiltration. Google notes fully autonomous end-to-end AI attack pipelines have not yet been observed in the wild.

Langflow code Code Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Langflow. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of the code parameter provided to the validate endpoint. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute Python code. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. . Was ZDI-CAN-27322.
Authenticated Path Traversal Arbitrary File Write in Langflow Files API
CVE-2026-5027 is a path traversal flaw (CWE-22) in the 'POST /api/v2/files' endpoint of Langflow, the open-source platform for building AI/LLM agent workflows. The endpoint fails to sanitize the 'filename' field supplied in multipart form data, so an attacker who submits a name containing '../' sequences can direct the resulting file write to arbitrary locations on the server's filesystem. The CVSS vector (network-accessible, low complexity, low-privilege account required, no user interaction) indicates an authenticated user can abuse this to overwrite or create files at attacker-chosen paths, which can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability — for example by overwriting configuration, credentials, or executable content that leads to code execution depending on deployment. Any organization running a self-hosted Langflow instance that exposes the files API, even to low-privileged accounts, is affected. No public proof-of-concept or confirmed in-the-wild exploitation is known for this specific CVE, and it is not yet on CISA's KEV list, but its elevated EPSS (36.1%, 98th percentile) and active exploitation of other Langflow vulnerabilities (e.g., CVE-2026-0768) suggest near-term exploitation risk.
Unauthenticated RCE in Langflow /api/v1/validate/code
Langflow, an open-source visual framework for building LLM and agentic AI applications, contains a missing authentication flaw (CWE-306) in its /api/v1/validate/code endpoint. A remote attacker with network reachability to the endpoint can send crafted HTTP requests without any credentials, causing arbitrary code execution on the server. Successful exploitation yields code execution under the application's privileges, enabling data theft, backdoor installation, and, per CISA, ransomware deployment. Any running Langflow instance is affected; the tool is typically self-hosted by development teams building AI workflows, so real-world exposure depends on whether each instance is reachable from untrusted networks. Exploitation is confirmed in the wild: the flaw was added to CISA's KEV catalog on 2025-05-05 with known ransomware use, EPSS assigns a 100% probability of exploitation within 30 days (100th percentile), and a public PoC is available.
Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution in Langflow validate Endpoint
CVE-2026-0770 is an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in Langflow, an open-source visual builder for LLM and AI agent workflows. The flaw, categorized as CWE-829 (inclusion of functionality from an untrusted control sphere), resides in how the exec_globals parameter supplied to the validate endpoint is handled, allowing code or resources from an untrusted control sphere to be included and executed. A remote attacker with no credentials can send a crafted request to that endpoint and execute arbitrary code in the context of root on the affected installation. Any deployment of an affected Langflow version is exposed, with internet-facing self-hosted or containerized instances at greatest risk. The issue was disclosed through Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative (ZDI-CAN-27325) and was added to CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-07-21, confirming active in-the-wild exploitation; no public proof-of-concept is known.
Unauthenticated RCE in Langflow AI Workflow Builder
CVE-2026-33017 is an unauthenticated remote code execution flaw in Langflow, an open-source tool for building and deploying AI-powered agents and workflows. The POST /api/v1/build_public_tmp/{flow_id}/flow endpoint, which by design requires no authentication for building public flows, accepts an optional data parameter; when present, attacker-controlled flow data — including arbitrary Python code embedded in node definitions — is used instead of the flow stored in the database and passed to exec() with no sandboxing. An attacker who can reach this endpoint on an affected instance can therefore execute arbitrary Python code without any credentials, typically yielding full compromise of the underlying server. All Langflow versions prior to 1.9.0 are affected; the issue was fixed in 1.9.0 and is distinct from CVE-2025-3248, which only added authentication to the /api/v1/validate/code endpoint. The flaw was added to CISA's KEV catalog on 2026-03-25 (confirming exploitation in the wild), carries a 96.2% EPSS probability of exploitation within 30 days, and related reporting describes Langflow RCE attacks, including ransomware activity targeting AI model files.

Missing Authentication for Critical Function in PaperCut NG/MF Web Interface
CVE-2026-81578 is an improper access control flaw (CWE-305) in the web management interface of PaperCut MF and PaperCut NG in which administrative requests from unauthenticated remote users trigger backend actions before access validation completes. An attacker can invoke administrative functions without logging in, allowing modification of certain system configurations. When chained with CVE-2026-82078 (unsafe dynamic class loading), the flaw has been used to achieve unauthenticated code execution. Any organization running PaperCut NG/MF, particularly servers whose web management interface is reachable from the internet or untrusted networks, is affected. The vulnerability was added to CISA KEV on 2026-08-31 and is being exploited in the wild as part of an AI-orchestrated campaign that compromised roughly 395–440 organizations.
Authenticated OS Command Injection RCE in SonicWall SMA1000 Appliance Console
CVE-2026-83549 is a post-authentication OS command injection flaw (CWE-78) in the Appliance Management Console (AMC) of SonicWall SMA1000 appliances. An attacker who authenticates to the AMC with administrator privileges can, under specific conditions, inject arbitrary operating system commands and achieve remote code execution on the appliance. Only organizations running SMA1000-series appliances, including the SMA 6210, SMA 7210, and SMA 8200v models cited in the data, are affected. CISA added the flaw to the KEV catalog on 2026-09-02, and news reports describe active exploitation, possibly chained with companion zero-day CVE-2026-83548, with reverse shells and cryptocurrency miners observed; no public proof-of-concept is known. EPSS assigns an 8.5% probability of exploitation within 30 days (95th percentile).

EncryptInterceptor Bypass Exposes Cluster Traffic in Apache Tomcat
CVE-2026-34486 is a missing-encryption vulnerability in Apache Tomcat in which the EncryptInterceptor, the component that encrypts Tomcat cluster communication, can be bypassed in a fail-open manner; the flaw was introduced as a regression by the fix for CVE-2026-29146. It affects Tomcat 11.0.20, 10.1.53 and 9.0.116, and is triggered when cluster communication is expected to be encrypted: an attacker positioned on the network path between cluster nodes receives inter-node traffic in cleartext. By reading that unencrypted traffic, the attacker can obtain sensitive data such as session payloads, potentially enabling session theft and authentication bypass as indicated by related reporting. Only deployments running the affected point releases with the EncryptInterceptor in use are impacted, including Tomcat shipped in Red Hat JBoss Web Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux channels. The flaw is being actively exploited: CISA added it to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-08-04, EPSS places 30-day exploitation probability at 98.6%, though no public proof-of-concept is known and ransomware use is unconfirmed.

Unauthenticated Eval Injection RCE in Langflow (eval_custom_component_code)
CVE-2026-0769 is a critical (CVSS 9.8) unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in Langflow, an open-source platform for building LLM applications, located in the eval_custom_component_code function. The function fails to properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to execute Python code, so a remote attacker who can reach the Langflow service without any credentials can submit a crafted string that is then executed as Python code. Successful exploitation yields arbitrary code execution in the context of the current process, with full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact on the affected host. Any Langflow deployment is potentially exposed, particularly self-hosted or internet-facing instances that accept unauthenticated API requests. Exploitation of critical Langflow flaws has been reported in the wild in recent credential-focused campaigns; this CVE itself is not yet in CISA KEV and has no known public PoC, but its EPSS of 38% (98th percentile) signals high near-term exploitation risk.
